AI transparency

I use AI tools as part of writing and maintaining this site. That is not something I try to hide - it is actually something I want to be transparent about. This page explains how AI is involved, what role it plays, and what remains entirely my own.

My commitment

I am committed to providing accurate and authentic content. I take full responsibility for everything published on dotjesper.com, regardless of whether AI was involved in the process. If something is wrong, that is on me - not on the tool.

Where AI fits in

I use AI to augment my content creation process - not to replace it. I plan what to write, decide the angle, and shape the argument. AI may help generate a starting draft, explore structure, refine phrasing, or review code examples.

Everything AI produces goes through my own review. I rewrite sections to reflect my voice, test all code, verify configurations, and validate claims against my own lab environments and production experience. Nothing is published without human review.

Some posts start as a way to learn, not just to share. When I want to research a topic or go deeper on something I have not fully explored, I use AI to draft initial content as a starting point for my own thinking. The draft becomes a conversation - I challenge what the AI produces and verify claims against my own experience. I test assumptions in my lab and reshape the argument based on what I actually find. Writing is how I learn, and AI accelerates the early stages of that process. The final post reflects what I discovered and concluded, not what the AI suggested.

This extends beyond writing. When working on the site’s theme, shortcodes, and scripts, I use AI to review, test, and refine code. Tasks like updating templates and maintaining site structure often involve AI-assisted development.

What stays human

The perspective, opinions, and experience behind every post are mine. AI does not decide what I write about, what position I take, or how I frame a topic. Topic selection, viewpoints, and recommendations come from real deployments, lab testing, and professional judgment - not from AI-generated best practices. The writing style is mine - AI may help with phrasing, but the voice you read is the one I have developed over years of writing.

Transparency

AI is a standard part of how I work - much like a calculator, a search engine, or a spell-checker. Nobody writes “I used a calculator for this” at the bottom of a report, and I do not think AI requires a different standard. This page serves as my blanket disclosure: AI tools are part of my workflow.

Some posts include a brief note linking to this page for readers who want to understand how AI fits into my process. When AI played a more significant role in drafting the content - where the initial structure or substantial sections were AI-generated before I revised and rewrote them - the post carries a more detailed disclaimer instead.

AI models

I primarily use GitHub Copilot  within Visual Studio Code  for both writing and development work. The models available through GitHub Copilot evolve continuously, and part of using AI responsibly is exploring and learning how different models perform across different tasks.
