Missing Posts and GitHub repositories

I am still recovering from issues from a disk failure and a following cloud storage issue that affected some of my GitHub repositories, resulting in my blog are currently missing posts. Furthermore, I have unwilling been forced to make a few of my GitHub repositories private to ensure that they are valid and accurate, and this has impact on some of my posts currently unavailable. I am working most nights to rebuild vital parts of the site and at the same time, restoring the missing posts and repositories and I hope to have everything back to normal in a few more days. I will keep you updated on the progress and let you know when everything is back to normal – sorry for any inconvenience. --Jesper Updated May 7, 2024

Hello world

Welcome to my new, and rebuilt from scratch, corner of the world wide web! My name is Jesper Nielsen, I am a Principal Architect & Technology Provocateur of trade, a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MWP) and former Windows Insider MVP - I am so excited, to finally start sharing my day-to-day ramblings and experiences.

I have been rambling within the IT industry for decades and have collected a wide range of experiences, enterprise level End-user computing, End-user solutions, and End User Experience. Although my primary focus has always been focusing on Windows Management and End User Experience, I have a strong passion for areas around Endpoint Security, Endpoint Baselining and Endpoint Management and everything within the reach of an End User Devices.

It is my job to visualize Microsoft technologies to IT Professionals, organizations, and corporations, embracing the philosophy behind Modern Work and Security. Helping apply User Centric strategies, helping define goals to transform and move organizations and corporations towards Microsoft 365 fueled Modern Workplace, Modern Security and Modern Management.

I wanted to start by telling you why I created this blog, what you will be seeing more of in my posts, and my overall experience of rebuilding my website. Blogs have long been a huge source of help and inspiration to me, and I wanted to contribute my own voice to the great dialogue. The amount of ideas, how-to’s and inspiration are constantly spinning in my head and is getting ready to jump out.

Microsoft 365 Endpoint Management topics will, obviously, be the main topics of my blog, powered by my professional ramblings, including a mixture of lifehack and other professional experiences.

The whole thing is Work in progress… I am no expert on any of this. I may be a “perfectionist”, but I am nowhere near perfect. So, expect a lot of trial and error in my endeavor becoming a ‘blogger’, and please feel free to share your advice and communicate with me along the way!

I have been waiting to launch a blog for a while (years) now and I am pleased that I finally had the guts to click that publish button and stop procrastinating.

Starting with a hard reset

Building a blog and navigating topics, is hard work - this is not a fast task people. The whole project has been a steep learning experience, and I felt a hard reset would be advantageous, and I have started rebuilding my blog from the Ground Up. At the same time, it gave me the opportunity to thoroughly document the process and share it along the way.

UPDATE: I have moved away from WordPress and rebuilt the whole site using static website framework running the site as an Azure Static Web App and what you are looking at, is built using Hugo .

In short, it means core functionality is restored, core pages are recreated, reviewed and rewritten, and more content is flowing in gradually. I still have a few action points and a huge post backlog that needs to be rewritten and shared

Follow my endeavor building the blog and read more about why I decided to use Hugo here .

Stay tuned for more posts coming soon!
